PM Hotel Group has added three hotels in the Portland, Oregon, metro area, expanding its regional portfolio from four properties to seven across the Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott and Choice brand families.

The Chevy Chase, Maryland-based management company, which operates roughly 85 to more than 90 hotels nationwide, took on Hampton Inn Sherwood Portland and Hampton Inn & Suites Portland Tigard, both Hilton-branded, plus Caption by Hyatt Hillsboro, a new-build property still under development.

The Hillsboro project marks the first Caption by Hyatt in PM Hotel Group's portfolio, adding a lifestyle brand to a regional mix that had been concentrated in select-service and full-service flags.

What are the three hotels?

• Hampton Inn Sherwood Portland — 73 rooms at 22000 SW Meinecke Parkway, about 20 miles southwest of downtown Portland in Oregon wine country. The hotel offers complimentary breakfast and Wi-Fi, an indoor pool, a fitness center and roughly 920 square feet of meeting space.
• Hampton Inn & Suites Portland Tigard — 152 rooms at 11799 SW 69th Avenue, positioned between Portland, Beaverton and Lake Oswego with access to Interstate 5 and Washington Square. Amenities include complimentary breakfast and Wi-Fi, an indoor pool and hot tub, meeting space, and free parking with electric vehicle charging.
• Caption by Hyatt Hillsboro — a 115-room new build at 5523 NE Huffman Street, roughly 20 minutes from Portland near Highway 26 and Hillsboro Airport. The company has not announced an opening date.

The three properties join Cambria Hotel Portland – Pearl District, Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel, Hampton Inn Portland Airport and Aloft Portland Airport at Cascade Station in the regional portfolio, giving PM Hotel Group coverage from the airport corridor to the western suburbs.

Its portfolio spans focused service to luxury, including the Modus Hotels lifestyle division.

For owners in the Portland metro, consolidation under one manager spreads fixed operating costs across seven properties rather than four, while the mix of brands — Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott and Choice — lets the company compete across rate tiers in the same market.

The company has said it will announce opening details for Caption by Hyatt Hillsboro separately, the next milestone to watch as the platform builds out its western suburbs presence.
