Wyndham Adds 40-Plus Luxury Boutiques via HotelREZ Partnership
More than 40 Elegant Hotels of the World properties, averaging 20-50 rooms, join Wyndham's Registry Collection by early next year, unlocking 129 million Rewards members.

More than 40 independent luxury hotels will have joined Wyndham Hotels & Resorts' Registry Collection brand by early next year, the company announced, under a strategic partnership with HotelREZ Hotels & Resorts, one of the world's largest hotel representation platforms and operator of the Elegant Hotels of the World collection.
It's a step-change for a soft brand that today counts just over 30 hotels across nine countries, including the Bristol Panama in Panama City, Hodges Bay Resort & Spa in St. John, Antigua, and the Balfour Miami Beach. The incoming wave — many of them small luxury boutiques averaging between 20 and 50 rooms each — will integrate into Registry Collection's sales, marketing and distribution channels over the coming months, with more properties expected to follow subject to brand fit, owner participation and onboarding requirements.
The commercial logic runs in both directions. Independents get Wyndham's global scale and commercial technology while keeping their identity; Wyndham gets aspirational inventory for the roughly 129 million enrolled members of Wyndham Rewards, the loyalty program USA Today and U.S. News & World Report have ranked number one.
"As Wyndham grows, so do the aspirations of our Wyndham Rewards members," said Scott Strickland, Chief Commercial Officer of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. "Whether it's a once-in-a-lifetime vacation, a destination wedding, or a milestone celebration, members want their points to take them to places that feel as special as the moments they're celebrating."
Which hotels are joining first?
Six properties went live this week at WyndhamHotels.com/Elegant:
- Rosselli AX Privilege, Valletta, Malta — a restored 17th-century palazzo and the only Maltese hotel holding three MICHELIN distinctions at once: a MICHELIN Key, a Star for Under Grain and a Bib Gourmand for Grain Street.
- The TownHouse Mykonos, Greece — an adults-only boutique in a restored 18th-century manor house above Mykonos Harbour, retaining its MICHELIN Key in the 2026 selection.
- Galgorm Resort, near Belfast, Northern Ireland — an AA Five-Star resort on 550 acres along the River Maine, known for its Thermal Spa Village and championship golf.
- TreeHouse Villas Koh Yao, Koh Yao Noi, Thailand — an adults-only retreat with treehouse-inspired design and private plunge pools above Phang Nga Bay.
- Cinco Quintas Hotel Boutique, Cartagena, Colombia — a restored colonial property inside the walled city, newly awarded One MICHELIN Key in the 2026 selection.
- Roe Valley Resort, near Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland — a four-star country retreat on 155 acres overlooking its own 18-hole golf course on the Causeway Coast.
Hotels joining Registry Collection keep their Elegant Hotels of the World membership while also entering Wyndham Rewards.
What does this change for independent owners?
HotelREZ frames the deal as distribution leverage rather than rebranding. "At its heart, our partnership with Wyndham is about unlocking commercial opportunities for our member hotels," said Mark Lewis, Group CEO of HotelREZ Hotels & Resorts, who founded the company in 2004. "For more than two decades, we've worked hard to earn the trust of independent hoteliers around the world and today, we're building on those relationships by partnering with one of the world's largest, most trusted hotel ecosystems."
HotelREZ currently supports over 2,500 independent hotels, apartments and hotel groups in 100 countries with distribution, booking engines, revenue and sales consultancy — clients include Dorint Hotels & Resorts, Champneys, The Zetter Group and Resident Hotels.
The partnership adds a second layer beyond the luxury soft brand. Launching later this year, a flexible model will give properties in HotelREZ's Best Loved Hotels collection, a curated set of upscale independents, selective access to Wyndham's technology stack — including AI-powered tools Wyndham Connect and Wyndham AI Concierge, formerly Wyndham Connect PLUS — plus its third-party distribution platform. Wyndham pays nothing to acquire the hotels outright; instead the structure extends Wyndham's commercial reach while letting HotelREZ's network buy into capabilities they couldn't build alone.
The platform play behind the deal
Wyndham, the world's largest hotel franchising company by property count with roughly 9,200 hotels across more than 95 countries and nearly 885,000 rooms, positions the deal within what it calls the Wyndham Advantage — bundled marketing, distribution and technology for owners. It was the first major hotel company to run on a fully cloud-based technology platform, and it is now pushing guest acquisition through integrations with AI platforms including Claude, ChatGPT and, most recently, Google Gemini.
For the economy- and midscale-heavy franchisor, the Registry Collection buildout moves Wyndham further upmarket in loyalty currency terms: Wyndham Rewards members earn a guaranteed 1,000 points per qualified stay and redeem free nights from 7,500 points across more than 60,000 hotels, vacation club resorts and vacation rentals.
With integrations already underway and additional Elegant properties expected to follow, the soft brand's footprint could more than double within a year — and Wyndham gains a scalable template for signing independents who want big-platform economics without surrendering their names.
