Lou Malnati's Opens 70th Location in St. Charles on Oct. 27
Lou Malnati's opens its 70th restaurant on Oct. 27 in St. Charles, Illinois — a 6,200-square-foot unit with about 100 staff and the first refresh of the brand's design.

Lou Malnati's Pizzeria will open its 70th location on Tuesday, October 27, at 3050 E. Main St. in St. Charles, Illinois. The family-owned company's newest unit sits inside the Fox Haven Square development, near the northeast corner of Kirk Road and East Main Street.
The restaurant will employ approximately 100 team members. Its 6,200-square-foot floor plan includes a full-service dining room and bar, a private dining room, carryout, delivery and catering — a format that spreads revenue across multiple dayparts and channels rather than betting everything on dine-in traffic.
The St. Charles opening continues the company's Chicagoland expansion strategy.
"The St. Charles restaurant represents an exciting milestone in our continued Chicagoland growth," said CEO Julie Younglove-Webb. "Since 1971, we've been focused on bringing people together over our handmade deep dish, and we look forward to putting down roots in St. Charles, building lasting relationships and becoming a trusted part of the community for years to come."
What's different about this location?
St. Charles is the first Lou Malnati's to showcase elements of the company's refreshed brand experience. Updated visual elements, menu design and interior finishes blend the Malnati family's history with what the company calls a modern, welcoming atmosphere. In practice, that makes this unit a live test of the new prototype before it rolls to future openings.
The design also leans on local sourcing of a different kind: Lou Malnati's worked with the St. Charles History Museum to weave historic photographs and local storytelling into the space. Family photos, pizza-pan-inspired décor and nods to the family's Chicago roots round out the interior.
The menu carries the full company lineup: Chicago-style deep dish with the signature flaky buttercrust, Wisconsin mozzarella and vine-ripened tomato sauce, plus thin crust, gluten-free options, appetizers, salads, pastas and desserts.
Who owns the real estate side?
The restaurant anchors the Fox Haven Square development, whose owner sees the deep-dish brand as a traffic driver for the whole property.
"We're thrilled to welcome Lou Malnati's to Fox Haven Square and see this highly anticipated addition open its doors," said Pat Greco, president of G Ninety Family Partners. "Lou's is an iconic Chicago brand, and we believe the restaurant will be a tremendous addition to both the development and the St. Charles community."
Lou Malnati's says it will pursue local partnerships and charitable involvement in St. Charles, mirroring the community model it runs in its other markets. With location No. 70 now open, the company's Chicagoland footprint keeps growing — and the refreshed brand design debuting here gives the next wave of openings a template to follow.
