Arrowfly Buys Prosper Company, Adding Events to Hospitality Portfolio

Arrowfly has acquired Prosper Company, owner of the Prosper Forum and Prosper Accelerate Conference, expanding its foodservice and hospitality portfolio into events.

Arrowfly has acquired Prosper Company, the owner and operator of the Prosper Forum and the Prosper Accelerate Conference, in a deal that adds two established industry events to its foodservice and hospitality portfolio.

The acquisition moves Arrowfly beyond its existing holdings into the media-and-events side of the sector. Prosper Company's two flagships serve restaurant and hospitality operators directly: the Prosper Forum functions as a networking and deal-making gathering for foodservice executives, while Prosper Accelerate focuses on growth-stage concepts and emerging operators.

Why does an investment group want conference businesses?

Trade events have become recurring-revenue assets for hospitality holding companies. Attendance, sponsorship and exhibition income tends to renew annually, and the operator relationships built through a forum can feed deal flow back into the parent portfolio. For Arrowfly, owning the venues where foodservice leaders gather — rather than simply attending them — puts the company inside that network permanently.

The move also reflects consolidation across hospitality media, events and investment. Firms that once operated restaurants or hotels alone increasingly bundle industry publications, conferences and advisory services, cross-selling to the same operator base.

What changes for Prosper's events?

Arrowfly has positioned the purchase as a portfolio expansion rather than a rebranding. The Prosper Forum and the Prosper Accelerate Conference continue under their existing names, now backed by Arrowfly's balance sheet.

For sponsors, exhibitors and operators who attend the two conferences, the immediate practical questions are scheduling and scope: whether dates, formats and venues stay as-is under the new owner, and whether Arrowfly's other portfolio companies gain visibility on the programs. Terms of the transaction, including the purchase price, were not disclosed.

Arrowfly signaled it will look for further additions to its foodservice and hospitality holdings, indicating the Prosper deal is one step in a broader build-out rather than a one-off purchase.
