Moxy Bengaluru Airport Prestige Tech Cloud has appointed Priyanka Pandey as Hotel Captain, handing operational leadership of the airport-adjacent property to a manager with more than 18 years across hotel operations, guest experience, food and beverage, revenue optimisation and talent development.

Pandey arrives from ibis Thane, where she ran a 186-room property as Operations Manager. Her remit there spanned rooms, food and beverage, banquets, engineering, guest services and revenue management — and the results were concrete. She helped position the hotel as one of the highest-performing food and beverage destinations in the ibis India portfolio while keeping guest experience scores consistently above 90%.

That figure matters for a brand like Moxy, which leans hard on service culture to differentiate itself in the select-service and lifestyle segments. What does this change for the Bengaluru airport property? In her new role, Pandey will oversee the hotel's overall operations, with a stated focus on guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, talent development and business growth.

Where she built the record

Pandey's career is almost entirely an Accor-portfolio story. Before ibis Thane, she served as Learning & Development Manager across four properties — ibis Mumbai Vikhroli, ibis Navi Mumbai, ibis Mumbai Airport and ibis Styles Goa — working with leadership teams on employee engagement, leadership pipelines and training programmes tied to business objectives.

Earlier roles sharpened the rooms-division side:

  • Rooms Division Manager, ibis Navi Mumbai
  • Front Office Manager, Novotel Mumbai Juhu Beach
  • Multiple front office leadership roles at ibis Mumbai Airport

She entered the industry through guest services and food and beverage positions at Mercure Lavasa and Novotel Hyderabad Airport, and her academic credential is a B.Sc. in Hotel Management & Hospitality from the Institute of Hotel Management, Bengaluru.

Interim leadership and recognition

Pandey has also twice stepped into the top job on an acting basis — as Acting Hotel Manager at ibis Gurgaon Golf Course Road and ibis Jaipur Civil Lines — gaining direct exposure to hotel-level leadership, business operations and team management. Her project credits include hotel pre-openings, renovation projects and operational improvement initiatives.

Industry recognition has followed the performance: accolades including Highest Improvement in Guest Experience, Best Trainer and HOD of the Year. She has also worked on sustainability, quality assurance, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and Fire and Life Safety (FLS) programmes, and has maintained Green Key certification standards — a credential increasingly relevant to corporate travel buyers weighing airport hotels on ESG criteria.

Her professional development spans global leadership, revenue management, hospitality sales, emotional intelligence, service excellence and conflict management.

The mandate at Moxy

The hotel frames the appointment around a people-first leadership approach, operational consistency and guest satisfaction. Pandey is expected to strengthen the property's service culture, nurture talent and support its commercial objectives while delivering what the brand calls its spirited approach to hospitality — efficient operations paired with personalised service for both business and leisure travellers.

For an airport property competing on consistency as much as rate, the bet is that an operator who has already lifted F&B performance and held guest scores above 90% elsewhere in the portfolio can replicate both at Moxy Bengaluru Airport as it scales its team and service standards.
