Eco Hotels & Resorts Limited has opened a 52-room hotel in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra, extending the company's footprint in a regional market it identifies as a business, tourism and social-events destination.

The Eco Sambhaji Nagar sits in PWD Colony, Dwarkadas Nagar, opposite Baheti Hrim Sky City. The property combines accommodation and banquet facilities under one roof, a configuration the company says lets it serve multiple guest segments from a single asset: corporate clients, wedding parties, families and leisure travellers.

The launch follows the company's stated strategy of building a diversified portfolio across business, leisure and tourism destinations in India. Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, the city formerly known as Aurangabad, anchors a catchment Eco Hotels & Resorts views as an emerging destination rather than an established metro market.

What does the property actually contain?

The hotel's food and beverage lineup includes:

  • Oh! London, the company's signature restaurant, positioned as a non-vegetarian dining outlet
  • EcoSip Cafe, aimed at coffee breaks, casual meetings and informal gatherings
  • Banquet space configured for weddings, pre-wedding functions, corporate meetings, conferences and other social events

The dual F&B format points at how the operator engineers revenue beyond room rate: a full-service restaurant captures dinner trade, while a cafe format targets daypart spending from informal business meetings. The banquet inventory adds group revenue that does not depend on occupancy.

Chairman: expansion targets emerging destinations

Vinod K. Tripathi, chairman of Eco Hotels & Resorts Limited, framed the opening as part of a wider geographic push. He said: "The launch of The Eco Sambhaji Nagar marks another important step in our journey to expand our hospitality presence across emerging destinations in India."

Tripathi said the city "offers opportunities across business travel, tourism and social celebrations," and that the property aims to deliver "comfortable accommodation, dining options and versatile event facilities that serve the needs of travellers, families and businesses alike."

He also anchored the launch to the company's stated operating principles: a guiding philosophy of "People, Planet, Profit" and a brand promise of "Hospitality, Sustainability and Credibility." The company did not disclose development cost, average room rate or target occupancy for the property.

Why one roof matters

The single-site bundling of rooms, dining and events is the economic logic of the launch. Weddings and pre-wedding functions generate multi-night room blocks alongside banquet revenue; corporate meetings drive midweek occupancy and cafe traffic between sessions. In a regional market where demand arrives in peaks around social calendars and business cycles, mixed-use inventory spreads revenue across segments that rarely peak at the same time.

The Sambhaji Nagar property strengthens Eco Hotels & Resorts' position in Maharashtra specifically, adding to an existing state presence the company has not quantified in this announcement.

Eco Hotels & Resorts Limited says it will continue building out the portfolio across regional Indian markets, with future openings aimed at destinations it classifies as emerging on the business-tourism axis.
