AAHOA Convenes Fifth HerOwnership Conference
AAHOA has staged the fifth edition of its HerOwnership Conference, the association's continuing initiative to expand women's hotel ownership and access to capital.

The Asian American Hotel Owners Association has held its fifth HerOwnership Conference, marking the latest installment of a program launched to expand women's ownership within the U.S. hotel industry.
AAHOA, whose members own a substantial share of U.S. hotels, has positioned HerOwnership as a working forum rather than a ceremonial one. The conference series brings together current and prospective hotel owners, lenders, and brand representatives to address the structural barriers women face in acquiring and financing lodging assets.
The fifth edition continued the event's established focus: paths to ownership, access to capital, and operational guidance for current owners. Sessions are designed to move attendees from employee or management roles toward equity stakes in hotel real estate, a segment where women remain underrepresented as owners relative to their presence in the industry's workforce.
For an industry in which franchising dominates — and in which ownership groups typically operate branded properties under long-term agreements with Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG and others — the conference addresses a specific chokepoint in the ownership pipeline. Franchise agreements require significant liquid capital and net worth from applicants, thresholds that conference programming targets through lender connections and deal-structuring guidance.
Holding a fifth consecutive edition signals sustained demand for the format. Association-led ownership initiatives of this kind typically measure success by the number of attendees who complete hotel acquisitions in the years following participation, a metric AAHOA has tracked since the program's launch.
The association has not yet announced dates or a location for the sixth edition, though the continuity of the series suggests programming will continue along the same capital-access and ownership-transfer themes that have anchored the first five conferences.
