Red Robin Stacks Prime Rib on Beef, Returns Two Value Burgers Oct. 19
Starting Oct. 19, Red Robin adds the prime-rib-topped Stack Burger, revives two Big YUMMM Deals burgers, and launches bottomless Red Bull-charged Refreshers nationwide.
Red Robin Gourmet Burgers rolls out its limited-time Prime Rib Stack Burger at participating locations nationwide on Oct. 19, layering sliced prime rib on a hand-pressed beef patty in a play for the premium indulgence crowd.
The chain isn't stopping at one item. The same date brings back two fan-favorite burgers — the Bleu Ribbon and the Burnin' Love — to the Big YUMMM Deals value menu, alongside bottomless Refreshers, new chicken wing flavors, and two milkshakes. It's a full menu-cycle refresh, not a single LTO.
What's on the Prime Rib Stack Burger?
The build reads like deliberate menu engineering: beef patty plus sliced prime rib, Monterey Jack, caramelized onion and garlic aioli on a black-and-white sesame seed brioche bun, served with a bottomless side. Stacking a second protein on a burger is a classic check-average play in casual dining — the prime rib positions the item as premium while the bottomless side preserves Red Robin's core value proposition.
The returning value burgers carry their own protein logic. The Bleu Ribbon combines HEINZ 57 Sauce, bleu cheese crumbles, crispy onion straws, lettuce, tomato and green chili aioli on a brioche bun. The Burnin' Love brings fried jalapeño coins, salsa, pepper jack, lettuce, tomato and the same green chili aioli. Both ship with a bottomless side and bottomless beverage on the Big YUMMM Deals menu.
"Burgers are in our DNA, and we wanted to create a burger that brings a little extra indulgence to the table. The Prime Rib Stack Burger is piled high with all the good stuff – a juicy beef patty, tender sliced prime rib, melty cheese and plenty of flavor in every bite," said Brian Sullivan, executive chef and vice president of Culinary & Beverage Innovation at Red Robin.
What else is new?
The refresh touches appetizers through desserts:
- Spinach Artichoke Dip — Parmesan-topped, served with warm tortilla chips
- New wing flavors — Lemon Pepper and Lemon Pepper Buzz, the latter finished with Red Robin's signature Buffalo-style sauce
- Signature Grilled Chicken & Broccoli — chicken breast with a choice of ancho marinade, Whiskey River BBQ sauce, teriyaki or blackened
- Cookie Dough Milkshake — vanilla or chocolate soft serve blended with cookie dough
- Salted Caramel Brownie Milkshake — vanilla soft serve with chocolate chip brownies, salted caramel and chocolate
The beverage play is the most operationally interesting piece. Red Robin is launching Bottomless Refreshers in five flavors — Tropical Dragon Fruit, Mango Passion Lemonade, Sunset Lemonade, Poppin' Purple Lemonade and Raspberry Limeade — each energizable with Red Bull. Sullivan tied the drinks directly to the food strategy: "We're carrying that same spirit into our beverages, with our new bottomless Refreshers, which tap into some of the most fun and current beverage trends our guests crave. From an over-the-top burger to bold, playful drinks, we can't wait for guests to dig in and try all the delicious new items coming to Red Robin."
What does this change for operators?
For Red Robin, the calculus is straightforward: pair a premium, limited-time burger that can lift check averages with value-menu anchor items that protect traffic, and monetize the beverage attach through bottomless formats that reinforce the brand's dine-in identity. The terms make the channel strategy explicit — Big YUMMM Deals are available dine-in and via first-party to-go and delivery through RedRobin.com or the app, but not through third-party delivery, where bottomless sides and beverages also don't apply. That keeps the highest-margin, traffic-driving elements inside Red Robin's own channels.
Availability, pricing and menu items may vary by location, and the offers run for a limited time. How the Prime Rib Stack performs will help determine whether the dual premium-plus-value framing becomes a recurring template for Red Robin's future menu cycles.
