HotelPartner rebrands around profit with European tier

HotelPartner Revenue & Profit Management supports more than 500 partner hotels across Europe with approximately 70 professionals and has added a service-light platform aimed at consultants and smaller hotel groups.
Founded in Switzerland in 2006 and headquartered in Schindellegi, the company added “profit” to its former HotelPartner Revenue Management name. Robert Holland, managing director for the United Kingdom and Ireland, said the change reflects a focus on profitability as hotels face rising costs.
What does the new tier change for consultants and smaller hotel groups?
The new European service level gives consultants and smaller hotel groups a proprietary, service-light platform supported by HotelPartner’s team. Users can create strategies and manage daily yielding through the HotelPartner Revenue & Profit Management platform.
Consultants and smaller groups are the intended customers, although the announcement does not say whether access is bought directly or paid through a bundled engagement. It does not disclose subscription fees, implementation costs, customer uptake or margins achieved through the tier. It also identifies no legacy system that the platform replaces, so the announcement describes an added workflow rather than a disclosed technology migration.
HotelPartner said its core model combines revenue management with distribution management. Holland said: “We’re able to manage the profitability of hotels through our distribution management, which, combined with revenue management, enables us to find the best route to market at the best rate.”
That distinction puts channel mix at the center of the profit argument. Hotels can use online travel agencies to reach guests, but the company argues that focusing on them at the expense of the cheaper direct channel reduces control over distribution. The announcement provides no agency commission rates, direct-booking acquisition costs, average room rates or property-level margin changes.
Holland also tied distribution changes to AI. He said stronger rates and distribution management can make direct offers more attractive on a hotel’s own website, reducing the need to rely on online travel agencies when a property’s brand and marketing already generate enough demand.
At the same time, the platform does not eliminate online travel agencies from the equation. Holland said: “The temptation can be to focus on the OTAs at the cost of the cheaper, direct channel, but hotels can regain greater control over their distribution strategy.”
The company says understanding guest data enables hotels to build a tailored distribution strategy that attracts the most profitable guests through the most effective channels throughout the year.
HotelPartner describes itself as a leading European provider of customized revenue-management services. The company says it was among the first hotel-sector providers to offer fully customized solutions. Its offering blends specialist teams, industry knowledge and proprietary technology called TET synergy.
The company says that combination helps accommodation providers increase revenue and reduce costs, guided by principles of optimisation, success and security. It also describes its approach as tailored, using future-oriented sales strategies intended to sustain performance.
Its roughly 70 professionals work across hotel operations, revenue and yield management, content management, distribution, technology and software development. The company lists offices in Lausanne, Bern, Vienna, Salzburg, Hamburg and London.
The new tier gives smaller operators a tool for shifting bookings toward profitable direct channels, but HotelPartner has not published the figures needed to calculate its return. For consultants and small groups, the platform’s value will depend on adoption and on whether they can show lower distribution costs or better margins without losing the reach online travel agencies provide.
