First Watch Restaurants Group has signed a multi-year agreement putting NCR Voyix's cloud-native Aloha Next point-of-sale and management system, together with Voyix Kitchen, into nearly 600 corporate-owned restaurants across the U.S.

The scale matters. First Watch, which positions itself as the leading Daytime Dining concept serving breakfast, brunch and lunch, will run the Voyix Commerce Platform across its entire company-operated estate — not a pilot, not a phased franchise rollout. That's a full-enterprise commitment from a brand that has been growing steadily, and it locks a large, single-owner restaurant fleet onto one technology stack for years.

For a nearly 600-unit system, the deal is about deployment speed as much as hardware. Aloha Next runs on the Voyix Commerce Platform, which NCR Voyix describes as a modern technology foundation that simplifies operations, streamlines integrations and lets new capabilities reach restaurants faster. Voyix Kitchen, layered on top, is designed to create what the companies call a resilient and scalable technology environment across the enterprise.

What does this change for First Watch's operations?

In practical terms, it changes how quickly the brand can push changes out to restaurants. First Watch's growth makes consistency the hard problem, and that's exactly how the company framed the deal.

"As First Watch continues to grow, maintaining a consistent experience across every restaurant becomes increasingly important," said Rob Conti, CIO of First Watch. "We are regularly introducing menu updates, operational improvements and new customer experiences, and Aloha Next will help us bring those changes rapidly and efficiently to restaurants while keeping our teams focused on delivering exceptional hospitality."

That's menu engineering infrastructure, not just a checkout terminal. A cloud-native POS means a menu update, an operational tweak or a new guest-facing experience can roll out across hundreds of kitchens from one platform, rather than restaurant-by-restaurant — a meaningful labor and IT efficiency when you're operating at First Watch's unit count.

A relationship measured in decades

The deal also extends one of the longer-standing vendor relationships in the segment. NCR Voyix has supported First Watch's growth and evolution for nearly two decades, meaning this agreement deepens an existing integration rather than replacing a competitor's system.

"For nearly two decades, NCR Voyix has supported First Watch's growth and evolution," said Benny Tadele, Executive Vice President and President, Restaurants, NCR Voyix. "Aloha Next preserves the proven capabilities First Watch relies on today while creating a unified foundation for data and operations. This opens new possibilities and enables the brand to continuously enhance both guest and employee experiences."

The phrase "preserves the proven capabilities" is doing real work in that statement. First Watch isn't ripping out familiar workflows; the pitch is continuity of what works today plus a unified data and operations layer on top of it. For operators, the unified foundation is the piece to watch: consolidated data across nearly 600 kitchens is what makes enterprise-level menu decisions, pricing moves and performance comparisons possible at speed.

Neither company disclosed the financial terms or the deployment timeline in the announcement, so the pace of the rollout — and how quickly franchise locations, if any, might follow the corporate fleet — remains to be seen as the multi-year agreement gets underway.
