Cygnett Hotels & Resorts has signed a 90-key Cozzet Grand hotel in Jaipur’s Jagatpura area, with the greenfield property scheduled to open in 2028 as the company’s fifth hotel in the Pink City. The announcement, published Nov. 4, 2026, advances the chain’s stated expansion in premium economy lodging.
The project will add 90 rooms to Cygnett’s Jaipur portfolio. Located in an emerging residential and commercial district, the hotel targets business and leisure travelers, along with visitors coming to Jaipur for professional and personal engagements.
That mix of purposes underpins the company’s market selection. Cygnett identifies commercial activity, infrastructure development and rising travel demand as the forces opening opportunities for organized hospitality in growing urban markets.
What does this signing change for Cygnett?
The signing extends Cygnett’s branded footprint in Jaipur. The property will sit under the Cozzet Grand brand, built around the “Smart, Safe & Sensible” philosophy. The company says the proposition combines contemporary design, essential amenities and consistent service standards for business, leisure and transit travelers.
Cozzet is Cygnett’s flagship premium economy and micro-hospitality brand, and the signing comes as the group accelerates its expansion. At the brand level, the company says Cozzet’s design and service mix addresses the requirements of business, leisure and transit travelers.
Sarbendra Sarkar, founder and managing director of Cygnett Hotels & Resorts, said: “Jaipur continues to be an important hospitality market, supported by a strong mix of business, leisure and social travel demand. Within the city, emerging locations such as Jagatpura offer opportunities for well-positioned branded hotels as residential and commercial development expands.”
“The signing of Cozzet Grand Jagatpura aligns with our strategy of strengthening our presence in high-potential urban markets through efficient, value-driven hospitality offerings,” Sarkar added.
The 90-key property will include:
- 90 contemporary rooms
- An all-day dining restaurant
- A bar
- A gymnasium
The company says the hotel will focus on modern accommodation, efficient service and essential facilities for travelers seeking quality hospitality at accessible price points.
“Accessible price points” and “efficient, value-driven hospitality” are the operative phrases. Together with the “Smart, Safe & Sensible” positioning, they put the hotel in the premium economy segment where Cygnett says it is expanding.
The economics remain unstated.
No room rates, check averages, development costs, staffing plans or ownership and operating structure were disclosed. The announcement therefore cannot yet be translated into revenue per available room, labor costs or operating margins. Nor does it say whether Cygnett will operate the hotel directly or through a franchise arrangement.
For Cygnett, this is a pipeline milestone rather than an operating result: the chain has committed to a 2028 opening before the hotel begins trading. It also gives the group a larger base in a city where the founder says business, leisure and social travel already support demand.
For a traveler, the practical change is more limited. No rooms will be available until 2028, and the announcement sets neither prices nor a booking date. What it does offer is a defined package: contemporary rooms, an all-day restaurant, a bar, a gym and the consistent service standards of the Cozzet brand in an emerging Jaipur district.
The next test arrives with the 2028 opening, when Cygnett will learn whether branded, value-driven accommodation in Jagatpura can serve the business, leisure and social travel demand underpinning its Jaipur expansion.
