Cheval Collection operates nearly 1,000 apartments across 12 properties, and it has just rebuilt the brand that sells them. The London-based luxury serviced apartment and branded residences company this week launched its first refreshed identity in more than 16 years, paired with a redesigned booking platform and a tiered member discount structure it calls a global first within the GHA DISCOVERY alliance.

The commercial logic is straightforward. Direct bookings reduce distribution cost, and the new platform is built to capture them.

What does the rebrand change?

The visual centerpiece is a reimagined logo: two horses framed within an elongated 'C', referencing the historic meeting point at the original Knights Bridge in Knightsbridge, where the company began. A set of property emblems, signage and flag-inspired visual elements supports it, each tailored to its destination.

The positioning concept is "Generous by Design," which the company defines as generosity of space, time and attention. Cheval traces its origin to the owners lending their Knightsbridge apartments to visiting friends, and the refresh leans on that 40-plus-year heritage.

The timing reflects expansion pressure. The portfolio spans London, Dubai and Riyadh. International growth began only in 2023 with Cheval Maison The Palm Dubai, followed by the Riyadh announcement in 2024 and the 2025 opening of Cheval Maison Expo City Dubai, which pushed the portfolio past 950 units.

What does the digital platform do?

The redesigned website and booking engine launch in English, Arabic and Simplified Chinese, with more languages planned. The engine adds expanded payment options and improved functionality for longer stays — a relevant detail for an operator whose guests book anything from one night to a full year, including relocations and long-term leases.

Cheval Place, a separate platform for corporate clients and travel partners, replaces manual negotiated-rate access with real-time availability, dynamic pricing and streamlined rate entry. Each property gets bespoke content and imagery to improve search discoverability, part of the direct-booking strategy.

Why the loyalty play matters

Both platforms integrate with Cheval DISCOVERY, the loyalty programme Cheval launched in 2025 with the Global Hotel Alliance (a marketing alliance of independent hotel brands), becoming the first European serviced apartment operator in the programme.

The new discount structure links savings directly to DISCOVERY membership tier, with progressively enhanced benefits as members climb tiers. GHA has recognized it as the first initiative of its kind across the alliance, whose members can redeem DISCOVERY Dollars at more than 800 partner hotels worldwide.

Chief Commercial Officer Nick Pilbeam said the launch "represents far more than a new look and feel," calling it "a considered expression of who we are today and where we are going next."

On loyalty, he said: "We're particularly proud to introduce a personalised DISCOVERY member discount by tier, recognised by GHA as the first initiative of its kind across the global alliance."

What comes next

The development pipeline is concrete. Cheval enters Saudi Arabia with Cheval Ladun Living Riyadh in 2027, followed by Cheval Maison Sulaymaniyah in 2028. The company also moved into branded residences this year with Cheval Residences Dubai Islands and Cheval Residences Knightsbridge Gate, and says it will pursue further growth through management agreements and branded residence partnerships.

Pilbeam framed the digital investment as equally material to the logo: "Guests increasingly expect interactions that are seamless, personal and intuitive. Our new platform allows us to better meet those expectations while strengthening direct relationships with our guests."

With three new markets opened or announced since 2023 and two Saudi openings scheduled, the operator now has a brand and booking infrastructure sized to a portfolio that is no longer London-centric.
