Bojangles opened its first restaurant with a full-service bar on October 28, 2026, at The LINQ Promenade on the Las Vegas Strip. The unit pairs the Charlotte, North Carolina chicken chain's standard menu with alcohol, live music, a covered patio and TVs throughout the space.

The format is a first for the 867-unit chain. Bojangles has never operated a full bar before, and the Vegas site doubles as an entertainment venue with a stage for live music. The move signals how a Southeastern regional chain is positioning itself for a tourist market where late-night service and drinks drive checks.

What does the new restaurant serve?

The food menu is unchanged from a typical Bojangles. The location offers chicken tenders, sandwiches, family meals, salads, milkshakes and biscuit combos, with breakfast served daily until 2 p.m. The bar and the stage are the additions, not a redesigned menu.

Who owns the Las Vegas location?

LV Petroleum, a multi-brand franchisee, holds the unit and roughly 20 Bojangles locations under contract for the territory. The company also operates Arby's, Jimmy John's, Starbucks, Dunkin', Sonic and TravelCenters of America sites. So this is a franchise bet, not a corporate experiment.

Jeanette David, president of LV Petroleum, said in a statement: "Our recent expansions into markets have been met with tremendous enthusiasm, and we are confident that the (Vegas) community will embrace our delicious offerings with the same excitement."

How fast is Bojangles growing?

The numbers explain the westward push. Bojangles finished 2025 with $1.9 billion in sales, a 3.5% year-over-year increase, and ended the year with 867 locations, up 4.5%. The chain, which marks its 50th anniversary in 2027, has historically been concentrated in the Southeast but has recently entered Arizona, Oklahoma, Texas, New York and other new markets.

Growth is coming from outside the core territory. Las Vegas is the latest stop in that expansion, and the bar-equipped format gives the franchisee a tool suited to Strip economics, where alcohol margins and extended dwell time matter more than drive-thru throughput.

Does a bar change the growth model?

Not yet, on the evidence here. One unit with a full bar is a market-specific adaptation for a tourist corridor, not a systemwide format shift. The more consequential figure is the 20-location contract LV Petroleum holds for the Vegas territory, which suggests the chain sees Nevada as a scalable market rather than a one-off showcase.

Whether the bar format spreads to other leisure-driven markets will depend on how this location performs against the rest of the 867-unit system.
