Rock N Roll Sushi Opens Its 81st Location in Lake Charles
Rock N Roll Sushi opens its 81st location Nov. 2 in Lake Charles, Louisiana — the brand's third unit in the state, with Cottonport crawfish on an American-style sushi menu.

Rock N Roll Sushi opens its 81st location nationwide on Monday, Nov. 2, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, at 4740 Nelson Road, Suite 210 — the brand's third unit in the state and its latest move in a steady regional expansion.
An 11 a.m. ribbon-cutting with the Greater Lake Charles Chamber of Commerce kicks off the opening. A larger celebration is planned, with details to be announced in the coming weeks. The restaurant will operate daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The unit is a franchise, owned by franchisee Christie Poole. And Poole is betting that a music-driven sushi concept can carve out space in a market with deep Cajun and Creole roots.
"Food is such a big part of how people connect in Louisiana, and Lake Charles has a rich culinary heritage shaped by Cajun and Creole traditions," Poole said. "People here already have their favorite places and traditions when it comes to dining out, and we're offering something a little different with unexpected flavor combinations, music and atmosphere."
She added: "We want every visit to leave guests with something new to look forward to the next time they stop by."
What does the menu look like?
The Lake Charles location leans local on sourcing. Crawfish comes from Cottonport, Louisiana, putting a regional ingredient at the center of an American-style sushi menu that also spans:
- Bold appetizers
- Eclectic specialty rolls, including the signature VIP Roll and Punk Rock Roll
- Hibachi
- Ramen
- A full bar with specialty cocktails, beer and wine
Catering is available for offsite group gatherings and events.
The interior carries the brand's "Dine Out Loud" positioning literally: neon accents, music videos, microphones and guitars set the scene in the dining room.
How big is the brand?
Founded in Mobile, Alabama, in 2010, Rock N Roll Sushi has grown from a Gulf Coast original into a national concept with more than 80 locations. Lake Charles pushes the count to 81 and deepens the brand's Louisiana footprint to three units, continuing its expansion across the region.
For a chain that started as a single Gulf Coast restaurant 15 years ago, averaging more than five openings a year means franchise growth is doing the heavy lifting — and Lake Charles fits that playbook: a franchised unit, in a mid-size Southern market, with a menu engineered to fold local ingredients like crawfish into a format built for replication.
Whether that formula keeps compounding will show in the next round of openings across the region.
