Palladium Pours €90M into Ibiza as UK Travellers Lift Balearic ADR 10%
UK travellers generated 30% of Palladium Hotel Group's Spanish room revenue in 2026, with ADR up 10% in the Balearics as the operator invests €90M in The Site Ibiza.

UK travellers generated 30% of Palladium Hotel Group's Spanish room revenue so far in 2026, keeping Britain as the company's top European source market ahead of Spain itself and the United States. Average daily rates from UK guests across Spain climbed 4% year-on-year, and the Balearic Islands saw a sharper 10% jump.
That mix of steady share and rising price tells a clear story. Palladium isn't just selling more rooms to Britons; it's selling them at a higher rate. In hotel economics, that's the difference between running a volume business and running a value business.
Where the UK travel pounds concentrate
The Balearic spike matters because it's where Palladium has staked its newest flagship. The Site Ibiza, a €90 million integrated resort in Playa d'en Bossa, combines two hotels — BLESS Ibiza The Site and The Unexpected Ibiza Hotel — with IBIZA Gallery and a chef-led food and beverage lineup. COYA Ibiza, Gordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen and concepts tied to Dabiz Muñoz, Dani García and Paco Roncero anchor the dining offering.
"The UK is a key market for Palladium Hotel Group, and the growth in average daily rates we're seeing across our Spanish destinations strengthens its importance to our business," said Ana Morillo, the group's chief sales and marketing officer.
Morillo added that the company is "investing in experiences that go beyond the traditional hotel stay" as a way to capture higher-value guests.
Beyond the Balearics
Britain's weight in Palladium's mix isn't limited to Ibiza. In Tenerife, UK travellers account for 52% of source-market share. In Sicily, they make up 32%. Both destinations reflect the same volume-to-value shift, where the group layers lifestyle amenities onto traditional beach product.
The macro backdrop helps too. According to ABTA, 34% of British consumers expect to spend more on holidays, and 38% name Spain as a destination they expect to visit. Short-haul travel still dominates summer preferences, with 84% of Britons favouring short-haul over long-haul.
What does this change for operators?
For hotel owners watching this play out, the takeaway is straightforward. A source market that already produces a third of your Spanish room revenue can still grow on price rather than headcount, if you give guests a reason to trade up. Palladium's bet is that chef-driven dining, art programming and integrated retail lift the perceived value of a stay enough to justify a higher ADR without losing underlying demand.
The same playbook is now landing in Barcelona. BLESS Barcelona joined the group's luxury and lifestyle portfolio recently, and the UK is a stated priority source market for that property too.
Where Palladium heads next
The company is extending the approach beyond Spain. Vietnam, New York and the UAE sit on the development slate, alongside further expansion for Only YOU Hotels, BLESS Collection Hotels and The Unexpected Hotels. The Caribbean and Brazil remain growth regions.
Palladium expects the final months of 2026 to keep the momentum going, leaning on international demand and a portfolio that's increasingly built around differentiated, experience-led stays rather than room inventory alone.
