Marriott Signs Seven-Hotel, 1,262-Key Deal with FICO in Thailand

Marriott and FICO Corporation signed a deal for seven hotels across Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket, adding 1,262 keys and introducing citizenM, Four Points Flex and Series by Marriott to Thailand.

Marriott International has signed a multi-property agreement with Thailand's FICO Corporation to add seven hotels and 1,262 keys across Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket, including three brand debuts in the Thai market.

The portfolio deal spans five brands: JW Marriott, citizenM, Four Points Flex by Sheraton, Series by Marriott and the expansion of JW Marriott's Bangkok footprint. Once the new properties open, the Marriott–FICO relationship will cover 11 hotels across eight brands in Thailand.

Rajeev Menon, President, Asia Pacific excluding China, Marriott International, said: "We are delighted to further strengthen our relationship with FICO Corporation through this significant expansion in Thailand. This growing portfolio reflects a shared vision for the future of hospitality – one that embraces evolving traveler preferences, distinctive lifestyle experiences and destinations designed for holistic wellbeing and meaningful connection."

What does the Bangkok pipeline look like?

The capital takes five of the seven properties:

  • JW Marriott Bangkok Sathorn – 288 keys, positioned as a luxury property with sports and fitness facilities and a lifestyle hub.
  • citizenM Bangkok Sukhumvit 11 – 147 keys, marking the brand's Thailand debut, pairing intuitive technology and contemporary design with a food-and-beverage venue in the Sukhumvit district.
  • Four Points Flex by Sheraton Bangkok Sukhumvit 8 – 162 keys, part of the midscale brand's first Thai rollout.
  • Four Points Flex by Sheraton Bangkok Sukhumvit 14 – 130 keys.
  • Four Points Flex by Sheraton Bangkok Surawong – 201 keys, described as heritage-rich.

All three Four Points Flex properties sit close to the BTS skytrain network. The brand targets travelers focused on reliability, efficiency and value in both design and guest experience — a select-service positioning that signals where Marriott sees volume demand in the Thai capital.

Which resorts are included?

Series by Marriott, the company's newest collection brand, makes its Thailand debut with two properties:

  • Easy Planet North Pattaya, Series by Marriott – 192 keys.
  • Easy Planet Phuket Patong, Series by Marriott – 142 keys.

The collection brand is built to deliver approachable stays that reflect each destination's character while keeping the consistency travelers expect from a chain flag.

Who is FICO Corporation?

FICO Corporation already operates four Marriott-branded hotels in Bangkok: Hotel Muse Bangkok, Autograph Collection; Marriott Executive Apartments Bangkok Townhall Sukhumvit; Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok Ploenchit Sukhumvit; and Metropole Bangkok, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel.

Krit Srichawla, Chairman, FICO Corporation, said: "I believe wellness, sports and lifestyle will play an increasingly important role in how people travel and live. This expansion gives us the opportunity to bring that thinking into our hospitality portfolio and create experiences that are relevant not only to our guests, but also to the communities around us."

Why does the deal matter?

The agreement shows Marriott using brand-tier segmentation to cover multiple price points and demand segments in a single owner relationship — luxury at JW Marriott, lifestyle-modern at citizenM, midscale at Four Points Flex and collection-style resorts under Series by Marriott. Bethesda, Maryland-based Marriott operates more than 10,000 properties in 148 countries and territories. The seven new Thai hotels deepen that footprint in two of the country's strongest urban and leisure markets, with the joint Marriott–FICO portfolio set to reach 11 properties across eight brands.
