Houston & Hawkes Lands VodafoneThree Catering Contract
Houston & Hawkes has won the workplace catering contract for VodafoneThree, the merged UK telecom operator, securing one of Britain's largest corporate accounts.

Houston & Hawkes has won the catering contract for VodafoneThree, the UK telecom business formed from the merger of Vodafone UK and Three UK.
The win adds one of the country's largest corporate clients to the caterer's portfolio. VodafoneThree was created through the combination of Vodafone's UK operation with Three UK, a deal that closed in 2025 and brought roughly 27 million mobile customers under one operator. Workplace catering at the merged group will now sit with Houston & Hawkes.
What does this change for the contract catering market?
For Houston & Hawkes, the contract secures a high-volume corporate account at a moment when consolidation among clients is shrinking the number of large blue-chip contracts available. Merged corporate estates typically mean consolidated catering budgets, fewer but larger sites, and pressure on caterers to standardize menus and pricing across locations that previously ran separate food programs.
The award also signals how client mergers redistribute catering spend: incumbent suppliers at legacy Vodafone and Three sites face displacement, while the winning operator gains multi-site scale that supports tighter food-cost management and centralized procurement.
Houston & Hawkes has not yet disclosed the contract's financial value, site count, or term length.
The deal positions the caterer to grow revenue from a single corporate relationship rather than through new-business pitches across multiple clients — a lower-cost route to volume at a time when labor and input costs are squeezing margins across the contract catering sector.
