Conrad Indianapolis Names Kenneth Rivera Executive Chef Amid Property Transformation
Conrad Indianapolis appoints Conrad Orlando's Kenneth Rivera as Executive Chef, handing him oversight of The Lounge, banquets, in-room dining and events during a property-wide renovation.

Conrad Indianapolis, the Hilton-owned luxury hotel in downtown Indianapolis, has appointed Kenneth Rivera as Executive Chef, placing all of the property's culinary strategy and operations under a leader with more than 15 years of experience across luxury resorts and fine dining.
The appointment lands mid-transformation. The hotel is in the middle of a property-wide renovation that includes reimagined guest rooms and suites, refreshed public spaces and what management calls an elevated guest experience. Rivera's mandate covers every food-and-beverage outlet touched by that work: The Lounge, banquet services, in-room dining, weddings and special events.
Where Rivera comes from
Rivera joins from sister property Conrad Orlando, where he served as Chef de Cuisine and helped lead one of the resort's premier high-volume dining operations. High-volume resort experience transfers directly to a hotel that runs banquet service, weddings and in-room dining alongside its restaurant business — outlets where consistency and cost control matter as much as menu creativity.
His background also includes culinary leadership roles at luxury resorts and restaurant concepts across Florida and Puerto Rico.
"This is an exciting moment for Conrad Indianapolis, and I'm honored to lead the culinary team into its next chapter," Rivera said. "My focus is on delivering exceptional, ingredient-driven dining experiences that honor the hotel's luxury heritage while introducing thoughtful, contemporary approaches across every touchpoint of our food and beverage program."
The emphasis on ingredient-driven dining signals a sourcing-first approach rather than a menu overhaul driven by trends alone — a philosophy Rivera traces to his upbringing.
What shapes his approach
Rivera's connection to food began early in life in his family's restaurant, an origin he credits with shaping a culinary philosophy centered on three pillars: fresh ingredients, disciplined technique and respect for origin. At Conrad Indianapolis, he plans to apply that foundation to a program focused on dining experiences that are both refined and approachable.
That balance matters for a luxury hotel. The Lounge serves hotel guests and local patrons with different expectations and price tolerance, while banquet and wedding operations require scalable execution across large covers.
How management frames the hire
Ryan Fitzgerald, general manager of Conrad Indianapolis, tied the appointment directly to the renovation timeline.
"We are thrilled to welcome Chef Kenneth Rivera to the Conrad Indianapolis family," Fitzgerald said. "His track record of excellence in luxury resorts and high-volume operations brings invaluable expertise to our team as we continue to refresh our spaces and elevate every touchpoint of our guest experience."
The hire follows a pattern common among full-service luxury hotels undergoing capital improvements: leadership changes in food and beverage are sequenced with physical upgrades so that refreshed rooms, public spaces and culinary offerings reach the market together rather than in stages.
What does this change for the property?
For Conrad Indianapolis, the change consolidates culinary direction across five distinct operations — The Lounge, banquets, in-room dining, weddings and special events — under one chef with documented high-volume experience at a comparable Hilton luxury resort. For Rivera, it is a step up from Chef de Cuisine at Conrad Orlando to property-wide executive responsibility.
Reservations at The Lounge and hotel bookings run through conradindianapolis.com; Conrad Hotels & Resorts, part of Hilton's portfolio, publishes brand updates at stories.hilton.com/conradhotels.
With Rivera in place, the hotel now has its culinary leadership set as the property-wide transformation moves forward.
