Equipment manufacturers can apply for the 2027 Kitchen Innovations Awards starting now through Dec. 16. The awards program runs as part of the National Restaurant Association Show, held annually at McCormick Place in Chicago.

The Kitchen Innovations Awards recognize equipment and technology solutions across operational categories including automation and robotics, integrated data systems, and off-premise service — areas where operators face mounting pressure to control labor costs and throughput as delivery and digital ordering reshape kitchen workflows.

Award winners gain visibility on the National Restaurant Association Show floor, where the KI Awards program has historically served as a curated showcase for operators evaluating capital investments in equipment that can move labor percentage, speed of service, or kitchen output.

The application window closes Dec. 16, giving manufacturers roughly two months to submit entries for consideration ahead of the 2027 show cycle.

Prospective applicants and operators tracking equipment trends can review last year's recipients for a benchmark of what the judges have rewarded.

Organizers framed the program's purpose in familiar terms. "The Kitchen Innovations Awards have always been about spotlighting…" the announcement began, pointing to the initiative's continued focus on surfacing equipment advances for the operator community.
